Since 1981, ETF has been located in the Heverlee section of the historic Flemish University City of Leuven (Louvain), just 19 kilometers East of Brussels.<br> Students have access and are encouraged to use the facilities of the theological library of the Catholic University of Leuven which is one of the largest theological libraries in the world.<br><br> The ETF's state recognition for its degrees and the evangelical scholars serving as faculty have placed the ETF in a unique position on the European continent. The ETF sees itself as primarily European, while at the same time welcomes faculty and students from elsewhere.</p><p> ETF has a three year <a HREF="pages_en/Bachelor.htm">bachelors program</A> in Dutch, and an international program which consists of two degrees: A <a HREF="pages_en/Master.htm">Master of Theology</A> degree (Th.M.) and a <a HREF="pages_en/Doctor.htm">Doctorate of Theology</A> degree (Ph.D.). Its model of education remains typically European, and its curriculum is influenced by this model. The academic program is primarily, though not exclusively, designed to interact with biblical and theological issues relevant to the European context and to prepare students for various practical ministries. </p><p>Please come inside and visit our <a href=sitemap.htm>sitemap</a>. </p><p> <br>De Evangelische Theologische Faculteit (ETF) te Leuven (Heverlee) is een unieke instelling voor hoger onderwijs. De opleiding is sinds 1975 gevestigd in een voormalig jezuïetenklooster in de Leuvense deelgemeente Heverlee. Op deze indrukwekkende locatie wil de ETF vanuit een bijbelgetrouw standpunt op wetenschappelijk verantwoorde wijze deelnemen aan hedendaagse theologische discussies. De vraagstukken uit de praktijk van de kerkelijke gemeenten en de samenleving komen in het onderwijs nadrukkelijk aan de orde. Bovendien schenkt de ETF ruime aandacht aan persoonlijke en geestelijke toerusting. <br><br> Naast veel studenten uit Nederland en Vlaanderen heeft de opleiding een groeiende belangstelling van studenten uit andere Europese landen. Het <a HREF="pages/Bachelor.htm">bachelorprogramma</A> is een driejarig programma en kan alleen in het Nederlands worden gevolgd. De meeste studenten komen dan ook uit Vlaanderen en Nederland. Het tweejarige <a HREF="pgaes/Master.htm">masterprogramma</a> en ook het <a HREF="pages/Doctor.htm">doctoraatsprogramma</a> daarentegen zijn duidelijk internationaal en kunnen in het Engels worden gevolgd. Zowel studenten als professoren zijn afkomstig uit alle hoeken van de wereld en horen bij verschillende kerkelijke denominaties.
